We again start with custom built cabinets. Our cabinets are built as designed to fit to your kitchen and other areas as needed. These cabinets are either face framed cabinets, with solid real wood face frames, (or called Partial Overlay which means that the door and drawer face overlay the frame of the cabinet by a ½”) or European style cabinets (full overlay).

The interior of the “Gold” package cabinets are either white or maple melamine. The drawer boxes are dovetails solid wood with a clear finish. Full extension hidden drawer slides on all drawers. The hinges are European hidden hinges that are adjustable.

The “Gold” package cabinets are stained to your desired color and then finished. The finish coat (top coat) can be satin, semi, or high gloss finish. Included in the “Gold” package is a larger crown molding for the tops of the cabinets to provide a dramatic effect in the design of the kitchen.

We also can add a custom designed hood cabinet for a dramatic element presentation in the kitchen. At 10 Day Luxury Kitchen, we offer glass panels in some of the doors as another feature element in our “Gold” package  kitchen. The cabinets of the “Gold” package are built very solid with ¾” base materials, adjustable upper ¾” shelves, and are built to last a life time.

Today, the term “bling” has cross over into the presentation of custom kitchens.

So, what is the “bling” in the kitchen and where is it applicable?

Well, kitchen bling could be incorporated into any style of  kitchen such as classical,  contemporary, minimalist, old world…but, the bling is how you accent  your kitchen with fixtures, faucets, cabinet hardware or the tile, stone used in the counter tops and or back splashes.

They become your kitchen jewelery!

For example,  hanging light fixtures are a great way to add visual interest, texture and color to a kitchen space. Accents such as this, can be an expression of your character or personality, which can say a lot about you and the way you live.

The old ice-box has certainly come along ways!

Our modern refrigerators today can be energy efficient. They can provide for you, a preferred temperature, water, ice cubes accesses on the face of the refrigerator doors, side by side or upper and lower refrigerator, freezer compartments.

Certainly, features that we have become accustom to in our modern kitchen. But, usually to have all these features with real usable refrigerator and freezer space, you really need a kitchen with a lot of wall space to accommodate the large usable space refrigerator units…Which means a large kitchen!

So what do you do for a small kitchen?

Well, GE has designed  a great  refrigerator  for the small active kitchen. The latest trend in refrigerator design has become the four – door refrigerator and GE French-door bottom-freezer refrigerators represent the latest in refrigerator design. The GE’s armoire-style design refrigerator, requires minimal amount of space for door opening, which makes it ideal for small kitchens!

The new design features a top-drawer freezer compartment for everyday use and more frequently accessed items, with a full-width drawer. In here, frozen fruit is easily accessible for a quick smoothie and prepared pizzas are ready to go into the oven for a quick meal.

Underneath, a deeper bottom drawer stores larger items, such as a whole turkey, larger cuts of meat and bags of frozen vegetables. Both drawers feature contemporary door pulls that complement the sleek design of the fresh-food compartment, with its upper French doors and hidden hinges. Beveled upper and lower edges look elegant.

Available in a 25-cubic-foot or 21-cubic-foot counter-depth capacity with stainless steel finish.

At 10 Day Luxury Kitchen, we use and recommend GE Profile refrigerators and appliances for our clients 10 day construction of their new luxury kitchen!

We recommend built-in refrigerator drawer units that operate the same as stand-up refrigerators. For example, both the GE Monogram® Double-Drawer Refrigerator Module and the Sub-Zero® 700BR Refrigerator Drawers fit into a compact space underneath the counter perfectly.

Myles Nelson Mckenzie Design, who designs new and remodeled residences recommends, “Refrigerator drawers are a great idea for family rooms, wet bars and outdoor kitchens.  Of  course, refrigerator drawer units must be rated for outdoor use. They really work very well in kitchens that are designed with separate prep zones and clean up areas.”

Some of the typical features of a built-in refrigerator drawer unit are easy to use electronic controls, bright lighting in drawers, alarm that will let you know with an audible beeping if a drawer is left open, removable drawer dividers. Most built-in refrigerator drawer units also accept panels that match your cabinetry.
